San Benito, TX: Luz G. Lozano, 94, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, of San Benito, Texas passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at her home. Luz was born in Monterrey, Mexico on February 1, 1914 and lived most of her life in San Benito, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alejandro Lozano, daughter, Consuelo Lozano, grandsons, George Williams and Ruben Lozano, her parents, Francisco and Julia P. Gonzalez, 3 brothers, Hilario, Pedro and Francisco Gonzalez, and a sister, Josefina Gonzalez.
Luz is survived by her daughters, Carmen (Kenneth) Williams, Raquel (Ramon) Palacios, and Estela Lozano; 2 sons, Alex Lozano and Luis F. (Lydia) Lozano; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great, great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary (Bebe) Gonzalez, and brother, Carlos M. Gonzalez, also numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, 2008 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. A Chapel Service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Committal Service will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, TX.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Luis Lozano, Lucy Lozano, Diana Trevino, Abe Gonzalez, Jerry Hackler, and Dan Trevino. The family wishes to thank Dr. Cecil Simmons and Sandi Jo Funk Hospice Staff for their help and kindness to our beloved mother.
