Obituary of Prudencio Garcia

Prudencio S. Garcia, 79, of El Ranchito, Texas, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2013 at Veranda Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Harlingen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Indalecio Garcia and Nicolasa S. Garcia; three sisters: Maria Luisa Salazar, Genoveva Paz, and Ernestina Garcia; and a brother, Nicandro Garcia.
Mr. Garcia is survived by his wife, Paula R. Garcia; nine children, Blanca E. (Jesus) Zamarripa, Briceida (Cruz Rodriguez) Montoya, Indalecio (Phyllis) Garcia, Jose M. (Delia P.) Garcia, Maria E. Garcia, Arnoldo (Santa A.) Garcia, Marvelia (Enemias) Melendez, Enrique (Norma) Garcia, Juan G. Garcia; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Sixto Garcia.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 12 noon to 9:00 pm with a holy rosary at 7:00 pm at Thomae Garza Funeral Home.
Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 2:00 pm at St. Ignacio Catholic Church in El Ranchito, TX. Interment will follow at Garcia Cemetery.
