San Benito - Victor R. Santillan, 90, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 05, 2008 surrounded by his family at his residence. He was a native of Aguascalientes, Mexico and a San Benito resident. Victor instilled in his family the values of working hard, respecting others and the importance of family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Refugio and Tomasa Santillan, two brothers, Pablo and Filiberto Santillan and one grandson, Marcos Orlando Gonzalez. Mr. Santillan is survived by his loving family, his wife, Esperanza G. Santillan, his two grand dogs, Lady & Heidi Santillan; his children, Victor Jr. ( Irma) Santillan, Esmeralda Santillan, Miros (Daniel ) Garza, Victoria ( Gilberto) Rebollozo, Carmen (Ted) Miller, Florestella Santillan. Also surviving him are his children, Corina Santillan, Yolanda (Jose) Gonzalez, Graciela (John) Rodriguez, Gloria (Jaime) Casas; 2 sisters, Elisa Santillan De Proa, and Maria T. Martinez; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and Nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be his sons and sons-in-law and grandsons. Visitation will be held today,Wednesday, May 07, 2008 from 10 AM to 9 PM with a Holy Rosary recited at 7 PM. Mass of Resurrection will be held Thursday, May 08, 2008 at 11 AM at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Interment will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park.
