Obituary of Eleanor Westfall

San Benito, Texas- Eleanor Florence Westfall, 72, she passed quietly into the presence of her Lord, whom she loved dearly on Sunday, May 04, 2008 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas.
She graduated of Berwick Maine High School and of Elim Bible Institute in 1958. In 1958 she married. February 1959, she and her husband went to Ghana , West Africa. to be Missionaries with the church of Pentecost. While there, their first child a boy, Stephen, Jr. died at one month of age. She continued working as a Missionary in Ghana for approximately 10 years, conducting children's Bible clubs, and assisting as a Bible teacher with the women's Movement of the Church in Ghana, Togo and Dohomey (now Benin). In 1970 she and her husband went to Java Indonesia and started to work there as a Missionaries remaining for approximately 13 years. At the end of 1983 she retired from Missionary work and lived for several years with her mother in Berwick, Maine. After her mother passed away, she moved to Illinois then to Texas, and for the past 12 years she has lived in San Benito, Texas to be near her daughter and attendant Valley Christian Assembly.
She is preceded in death by her parents Verne and Ruth Brook, and her infant son, Stephen Westfall Jr.
Mrs. Westfall is survived by her children, Martha (Rocky) McGuffin and John Westfall; grandchildren, Elana Carr,Stephen Ramirez, Reina Ramirez, Leah Ramirez, Asia Westfall; Great-grand Children, Christian And Noah Bucher and Michael and Gabriel Ramirez. Brother and sisters Robert Brooks, Donald Brooks, Bruce Brooks, Eunice Dube and Marilyn Pepin.
A Cremation will follow to Sacred Park Crematorium in Weslaco, Texas.
