Beatriz C. Cruz, 70, of San Benito, Texas went to be with the Lord Friday, August 2, 2013 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel Cuevas Sr. and Julia R. Martinez; 1 son, Guadalupe Cuevas. Mrs. Cruz is survived by her husband, Sebero Cruz Sr.; children, Sebero Cruz Jr., Rosa Maria Gonzalez, Sylvia Lopez, Oscar Cruz, Gilbert Cruz and Diana Cruz; 20 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren and other relatives. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. Visitation will resume Tuesday, August 6, 2013 from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A Chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Los Cuates Cemetery in Los Fresnos, Texas.
