Obituary of Alicia Castillo

Alicia C. Castillo, of San Benito, Texas, born November 4, 1925, passed away on July 27, 2013.
Alicia and her husband were very involved in the Catholic Church. They were Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, visited the sick in their homes, hospitals, and prisons.
Alicia, wife to Bernardino P. Castillo Sr. for 53 years, mother to Carmen (Andy) Rodriguez of La Feria, Alicia C. Anguiano of San Benito, Bernardino Jr. (Diana) of San Benito, Frank (Norma) of Austin, Dollie (David) Olvera of San Benito, Angie (Donald) Hamm of Brownsville, Arnoldo (Christy) of Harlingen; Grandmother to 15, great-grandmother to 13, and great-great-grandmother to 1.
She is also survived by her sisters and brother: Dolores C. Castillo of San Benito, Eva C. Martinez of Brownsville, and Jose Fernando Cavazos of Harlingen.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 29, 2013 from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Visitation will continue from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., at St. Theresa Catholic Church in San Benito.
Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank Retama Manor and Staff, Valley Baptist Medical Center and Staff, and Dr. Cynthia Luna Salazar for their loving care.
