San Benito, TX -Olga Cavazos, 63, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at Charlton Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas. She was born on June 06, 1944. She was a native of Brownsville, Texas and long time resident of San Benito, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ricardo and Rafaela Benavides. Olga was raised by Eduardo T. and Maria R. Benavides who she loved very much. Ms. Cavazos is survived by her 5 children: Christina (Raul) Villela, Corinna (Daniel) Hernandez, Celeste (Rogelio) Serrata, Belinda (Jesse)Villegas and Carmelita (Javier) Pena; 12 grandchildren: Jennifer Villegas, Valerie J. Garza, Crystal Ortiz, Monique Villela, Janika Villegas, Daniel Hernandez, Hector Serrato, Jeffrey Serrato, Raul Villela Jr., Ivy Pena, Marcos Hernandez and Amy Pena; great-grandchildren: Ryan A. and Ricardo I. Gonzalez and a third great-grandchild, Arron Gean Garza, to be born in August 2008; 6 sisters: Sofia Cruz, Librada Galvan, Estefana Abete, Gloria Rubio, Sylvia Moran and Rosa Stanford; 4 brothers: Guadalupe Benavides, Rafael Benavides, Carlos Benavides and Roberto Benavides; and by her ex-husband Oscar Cavazos. Visitation will be held today, Saturday, April 19, 2008 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Sunday, April 20, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funreal Home in San Benito. Mass of Resurrection will be held on Monday, April 21, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in San Benito. Committal Service will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
