Obituary of Don MacMath

Don "Mac" MacMath went to God on July 11, 2013.
He was born on May 20, 1928 in South Langhorne, Pa. Mac was a Korean War veteran in the Corps of Engineers then spent 30 years as a Construction Project Manager. A lifetime member of the American Legion for 24 years, holding office for nearly all those years. A member of Post 498, he was also a District Officer in the American Legion 15th District, and a Life Member of VFW Post 8791. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather and dedicated to all of his friends.
He is preceded in death by family members: Mother Alice Voysey, Father James MacMath, Sister Edythe Replogle, and Son Carl Scott MacMath.
He is survived by wife Kay MacMath from San Benito, TX, a sister Alberta Stradling from Pa, daughter Donna Puaa HI, Sons Jim LaVigne, TX., Ted (Kim) Relander MN., Steve ( Sandy) Relander TX., Pat (Marie) Relander TX., nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, numerous other cherished family members and friends.
A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17th, 2013 at American Legion Post 498 located on 819 South Garcia St. in Port Isabel, Texas with Pastor Stephen E. LaFleur officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion John Hanson Post 43 of Brownsville, Texas.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Legion Post 498, 819 S. Garcia St., Port Isabel Texas, 78578 would be appreciated.
