Port Isabel, TX - Jose Lopez, 87 of Port Isabel, Texas passed away on Monday, April 14, 2008 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas. Mr. Lopez was a lifelong resident of Port Isabel. He was a member of Lighthouse Assembly of God Church of Port Isabel. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Paula Lopez; son, Felipe Lopez, and several brothers and sisters.
Mr. Lopez is survived by his loving children, Jose (Medelia) Lopez, Jr., Reynaldo Lopez, Noe (Ana) Lopez, Manuela Lopez, Liliana (Jesus) Gonzalez, and Cynthia (Jesse) Velma. 26 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today April 16, 2008 from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Services to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday April 17, 2008 at Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, 110 Port Road in Port Isabel with Pastor Steve Hyde officiating. Interment will follow to Port Isabel City Cemetery.
