Port Isabel, Texas: Pascual Esquitin Cisneros, 83, beloved husband, father and grandfather, entered into the glory of his eternal life on Thursday April 10, 2008 at his home in Port Isabel. He was born in Kingsville, Texas and resided in Port Isabel for most of his life. He was a Navy veteran, serving his Country during World War II, during which he served in the South Pacific on board the USS Louisville from 1943 - 1945 and received an Honorable Discharge on March 9, 1946. He was a life long member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. He was a Captain in the shrimping industry for many years and employed with the Pilot boat Association as a pilot boat operator. He was a member of the American Legion Post 498 and V.F.W. Post 8791 both of Port Isabel. Pascual was preceded in death by loving wife of 53 years, Ofelia Lopez Cisneros, his parents; Ramon Cisneros and Carmen Esquitin Cisneros, his brother Francisco E. Cisneros and his sister Manuela C. Lopez. He is survived by his loving sons, Juan Orlando (LuEllen) Cisneros and Sergio (Sylvia) Cisneros and three grandchildren Alyssa Kyran, Justyn Orlando and Sergio Pascual, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held today on Sunday April 13, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito and will continue from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday April 14, 2008 at Our Lady Star of Sea Catholic Church in Port Isabel with Father Gerry Barrett officiating. Interment will follow to Sacred Park Crematorium. Full Military Honors will be conducted at the church by the American Legion Post 205 of Harlingen, V.F.W. Post 2410 of San Benito, American Legion Post 498 and V.F.W. Post 8791 both of Port Isabel. Serving as Pallbearers will be Francisco Cisneros, Jr., Pedro Vela, Sr., Refugio Cisneros, Joel Lopez, Nestor Lopez, Jr., and Jose Lopez, III Words of comfort can be sent to the Cisneros Family at www.thomaegarza.com In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Pasqual E.
