Port Isabel, TX - Rebecca C. Rocha, 85 entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, TX. Rebecca had been an active member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church and a resident of Port Isabel since 1954. Rebecca was preceded in death by her loving husband, Benigno Rocha (1983), her parents, Maximo and Adelaida Carreon Yanez, sister, Esther Carreon, and her brother, Cecilio Carreon de Yanez. She is survived by her loving children, Lucia Torres of Cd. Madero, Tamp. Mexico, Raquel (Rodolfo) Ramirez of C. Madero, Tamp. Mexico, Sandra (Roberto) Hernandez of Cd. Victoria, Mexico, Rachel Rocha of Port Isabel, Benny Rocha of Port Isabel, and Juan Rocha of Houston, Texas. 13 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be held today Monday April 07, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito and will continue from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday April 08, 2008 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Isabel. Interment will follow to Port Isabel City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Benny Rocha, Juan Rocha, Roberto Hernandez, Juan Rocha Jr., Joe Bocanegra, and Jose Hernandez.
