Antonia Q. Lopez, 87, of Harlingen, Texas, passed away on May 29, 2013 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose M. Lopez; her daughter, Paula L. Roldan; agrandson, Julian Alvarez Jr.; and brothers, Ovidio Quiroz, Urvano Quiroz, and Bonisacio Quiroz. Antonia is survived by her loving children: Petra L. Alvarez, Jesus Q. (Herlinda M.) Lopez, Genaro Q. (Maria F.) Lopez, Angelita L. (Juan L.) Lara, Cecilia L. (Apolinar) Hernandez, Julia L. (Tomas H.) Hernandez, and Antonia Q. Lopez; 27 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Gregorio Quiroz; and two sisters, Hortencia and Raquel Longoria. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2013 from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a prayer service at 7:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. A chapel service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Las Rucias Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Eduardo Lopez, Johnny Lara, Abel Lopez, Juan Jesus Rivas, Alan Michael Angulo, Eloy Alcala, Ruben Hernandez, Apolinar Hernandez III, Jose Lara; and Efrain Guzman, serving as honorary pallbearer.
