Jesus A. Valencia, 80, was born on May 24, 1932 and was born in Cananea Sonora, Mexico. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 03, 2013 at his home in San Benito, TX. Jesus was retired from the San Benito School District; He loved spending time with his family and two loving dogs, Penny and Nickel. He was a loving caring husband, father, and friend to all. He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Gloria C. Valencia and his nine children, Maria Elena (Felizardo) Loya, Mariano (Nely) Valencia, Jesus (Yolanda) Valencia, Jr., Manuel (Rosa) Valencia, Sr., Imelda (Hector) Vega, Marco (Juanita) Valencia, Sr., Ana (Oscar) Flores, Gloria (Santiago) Gallegos, and Cesar (Dayna) Valencia; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and his older sister, Raquel Vasquez. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013 from 10:00am to 9:00 pm with a holy rosary at 7:00 pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 12:30 pm at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
