Lupita Castillo Banda, 68, of San Benito, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 25, 2013 after fighting a lengthy illness she passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She gave Culligan Water 30 years of devoted service. She retired in 2007 to spend time with her husband and family enjoying the outdoors and caring for her plants. She was preceded in death by her parents, Serapio and Francisca Castillo and a grandson, Mark Anthony Banda. Frances is survived by her husband, Teodoro E. Banda; daughters, Rhonda (Gilbert Cruz) and Aleesa Banda; a son, Jon Jon (Sandra Silva) Banda; sisters, Noemi Castillo Lopez of San Benito, TX and Carmen Basttardo of Brownwood, TX; grandchildren, Jeremiah (Jessica Sandoval) Orta, Sasha Aguilar, Roy Angel Aguilar, John Damian, Michael, Hailey, and Nathaniel Banda; a great grandchild, Savannah Aguilar; nieces, Frances (Shadd) Watson of Fort Worth, TX, Angie (Keith) Kirkland of Corpus Christi, TX, Bonnie Valencia of Brownwood, TX, Bobbie Jo (Alex) Leal and Kimberly Padilla; nephews, Fred (Jill) Basttardo III, Sean Adrian Ramirez; a great niece, Kayla Padilla; great nephews, Jesse Johann Garcia, Ryan Padilla and Aidan Ramirez, and numerous other relatives. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a holy rosary at 7:00 pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 2:00 pm at St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Benito. Interment will follow to Las Yescas Cemetery.
