Juanita Zuniga, 83, of Lozano, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 21, 2013 In Harlingen, Texas. Juanita was a loving mother, friend, grandmother, and great-grandmother that will be greatly missed. She was a dedicated member of St Helen/ Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She retired from the Brownsville Diocese after 20 years of service under the direction of Monsignor Juan Nicolau. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Reynaldo Zuniga. She is survived by her loving children: Reynaldo (Donna) Zuniga Jr., Alicia (Juan) Lopez, Ester (Jose Luis) Lopez, Maria Elidia (Marcial) Cardenas, and Susana (Ernesto) Villalobos. Also surviving her are 16 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013 and Sunday, February 24, 2013 from 2 pm to 9 pm, with a holy rosary at 7 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. Mass of Resurrection will be held at 2 pm on Monday, February 25, 2013 at St. Helen's Catholic Church in Rio Hondo, Texas with Monsignor Juan Nicolau and Father Rigobert Mot officiating. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be: John Lopez, Jose Luis Lopez Jr., Steven Zepeda, Xavier Villalobos, Alexandro Villalobos, Ryan Price, Shaun Pallanez, and Michael Cavazos.
