James Franklin Odom, 72, of Laguna Heights, Texas, passed away on February 15, 2013 at his residence. James was born on January 5, 1941 in Rosenberg, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a Supply Sergeant and earned an R.N. degree at the University of Puerto Rico. He later retired and resided in Port Isabel for the past 25 years. He was a member and volunteer of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, James F. and Minne Lee (Jett) Odom. He is survived by his sister, Lee Odom DeLome of Baytown, Texas, six nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will take place on March 22, 2013 at 10 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Isabel, Texas.
