Obituary of Delia Ybarra

Delia Ybarra passed away peacefully at Valley Baptist Medical Center at the age of 84 on February 12, 2013. She was surrounded by her loving family, when she went to meet her Heavenly Father. Delia was a wonderful wife for 65 years and a dedicated mother to her seven children. She was generous, loving, friendly, and loved by those whose lives she touched. She instilled in her children a love for God and family. Her sweet spirit and beautiful smile were well-known among family, friends, and anyone who was blessed to meet her.
Delia Ybarra and her husband Martin were blessed with seven children. She is preceded in death by her husband, Martin Ybarra; and two sons, Martin, Jr (Fina) and Miguel (Leonor).
Left to cherish their memory are their five remaining children: Polly (Hector Cortez), Margarita (Ruben Reyes), Noemi Torres, Maria (Joe Salazar), and Manuel (Jennifer). In addition, she had 15 grandchildren: Martin (Third), Diana, Dahlia, Michael, Sandra, Gabriel, Hector (Beco), Veronica, Patty, Amanda, Christopher, Monica Rae, Melissa, Jennifer, Christina Rae, and 12 great grandchildren: Bruce, Jr., Kia Martin, Esteban, Jonathan, Meagan, Crystal, Michael Landon, Michael D., Eli Moses, Caris Jeanine, Jonathan Christopher, Joshua Frank Martin. She is preceded in death by her grandson Hector (Beco) Cortez Jr. and her granddaughter, Christina Rae Salazar. She is also preceded in death by her father Juan Cortez, her mother Paula O. Cortez, her brothers, Juan Cortez, Marcos Cortez, and sister Paulita (Lita) Cortez.
Delia C. Ybarra was born in San Jose Ranch, Texas. She is survived by her siblings Maria C. Lerma, Carlos Cortez, and Lupe Cortez. And she is also survived by her mother-in-law, Maria Ybarra.

Visitation will be on Friday, February 15th, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.
Celebration Mass will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 16th, 2013 at St Benedict Catholic Church, followed by committal service at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
Pallbearers are Martin Ybarra, III (Third), Sandra Ybarra, Juan Manuel Ybarra, Christopher Ruben Reyes, Guillermo Rodriguez, Monica Rae Ybarra-Torres, Gabriel Ybarra, and Michael Ybarra and honorary pallbearers: Hector Cortez, Joe Salazar, Ruben Reyes, and Manuel Ybarra.
