Dominga D. Chavez, 69, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her father, Telesforo Delgado Sr., her mother, Rita C. Delgado, and her brothers, Ramon C. Delgado and Telesforo Delgado Jr. Dominga is survived by her loving husband, Juan Y. Chavez; her sons: Juan (Anna Marie) Chavez Jr and Roberto (Elizabeth) Chavez; her daughters, Sylvia Chavez and Nora (Milton) Chavez; siblings: Pedro Delgado, Adolfo Delgado, Jose Delgado, Alfredo (Isabel) Delgado, and Ana M (Victor) Ortega. Also surviving her are 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 12 pm to 9 pm, with a holy rosary to be recited at 7 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral mass will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Benito. Interment will follow at San Benito City Cemetery.
