San Benito, Tx: Guadalupe Corona, 90, went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2008 at Harlingen Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Harlingen surrounded by his loving family. He was the last member of his family generation. He is preceded in death by his wife, Manuela C. Corona, parents, brothers, and sisters. Mr. Corona was born in Cadereyta, N.L. Mexico on April 04, 1917 to Norberto and Isabel Ortega Corona. He was a resident of San Benito area most of his life. Survived by his loving sons, Norberto C. (Maria) Corona, Teodoro (Dora) Corona, Martin (Cristela) Corona, and Santos (Rosie) Corona; His loving daughters, Ramona (Jose) Montes, Carolina C. Gonzalez, Lupe (Valentin) Vallejo, San Juana Corona, Maria R. Corona and Isabel Corona. He will be missed by 33 Grandchildren, 39 Great-Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held today Sunday 02/24/08 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday 02/25/08 at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in San Benito. Interment will follow to Mont Meta Cemetery in San Benito. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
