Obituary of Lucila Castillo

Lucila Zapata Castillo, 64, of Port Isabel and Harlingen, TX, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2013 at Sunshine Haven in Olmito, TX surrounded by her loving family.
She was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church and a lifetime resident of Port Isabel.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eliodoro Zapata Sr. and Juanita "Memo" Zapata; two brothers, Eliodoro Zapata Jr. and Jose Francisco Zapata; three sisters, Hortencia Ochoa, Felicitas Medrano, and Amana Banda.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Leticia O. (Santos) Sanchez, Sonia Ann Ochoa, and Rebecca Marie Garcia; 13 grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; a brothers, Roberto (Esmeralda) Medrano; five sisters, Augustina (Serefino) Rivera, Carlota (+Mauro) Osorio, Christina (+Santana) Galvan, Enriqueta (+Donald) Rose and Maria Elena (Simon) Rivera.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2012 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a holy rosary recited at 7:00 pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.
Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 11:00 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Isabel.
