Baciliza "Licha" Fiscal, 73, of San Benito, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her son, Juan Jose Velez; her parents, Petra Salas and J Inocente Velez; eight brothers and sisters; father in law, Eloy Martinez; grandfather in law, Higinio Ledesma; brother in law Samuel Martinez; her niece, Joanna Hernandez; and nephew, Fernando Serrato. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Oberlin Fiscal; her children: Irene Fiscal, Oberlin Fiscal Jr., Melissa (Mario Aleman III) Fiscal of San Benito, and Francisco (Delma) Fiscal of Cypress, Texas; her sister Sofia Vera of El Paso; brother Epimenio (Flora) Velez of California; mother in law Francisca Martinez; and grandchildren: Francisco Fiscal Jr., Ashley Marie Fiscal, Allison Michelle Fiscal, all of Cypress, Texas, Ashley Aleman, Alexis Aleman, and Mario Aleman IV. She is also survived by numerous sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, with a holy rosary at 7:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Mass of Resurrection will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Our Lady Lourdes Catholic Church in La Paloma with father Miguel Ortega officiating. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito. Serving as pallbearers are: Oberlin Fiscal Jr., Francisco Fiscal Jr., Mario Aleman III, Tomas Mejia Jr, Samuel Martinez, and Juan Martinez.
