Corina Lopez Camacho was called to be with the Lord on July 27, 2024, at the age of 86. Born on August 23, 1937, in Port Isabel, Texas, she was a cherished daughter, sibling. Wife, mother and community pillar. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Isaac Camacho; parents, Nestor and Carlota Solis Lopez; 1 brother, Kiko Lopez; 1 sister, Ofelia Cisneros; and brother-in-law, Pasqual Cisneros. Corina is survived by her loving son, Juan Lopez Camacho (Enedina); seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Nestor Lopez, Jr. (Lydia), Eddie Lopez (+Gloria), and sister-in-law, Guillermina M. Lopez. Corina was a devoted Guadalupana at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, a member of the American Legion Unit 498’s Women’s Auxiliary for 20 years, a passionate supporter of the Port Isabel High School football team through the Quarterback Club, and a dedicated Cub Scouts den mother. Corina’s life was marked by her unwavering commitment to her family and community. Her legacy of service, kindness, and love will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S Longoria St, Port Isabel, TX with interment to follow to Port Isabel City Cemetery.
