With deepest sorrow, we announce that Andre Ace Vela, age 2, our most beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024. Andre was born in Harlingen, Texas on December 13, 2021, to Samantha and Enrique Vela. He brought immense joy and happiness to everyone he met. Andre was a sweet and happy boy whose smile could light up any room. He loved pizza, chicken nuggets, dancing, and watching movies. His playful spirit and infectious laughter will be deeply missed. Andre is survived by his loving parents, Samantha and Enrique Vela; his big brother, Angel Alexander Vela. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Andrea Avila and Roberto Peña, Juan Avila; paternal grandparents, Enrique and Leticia Vela. Andre leaves behind his aunts and uncles, Marinna Pina, Alexandrea Pina, Michael Avila, Casey Avila, Connie Falcon, Juan and Lesly Avila, Isaura and Henry Garza, and Laura and Arturo Salinas. He also leaves behind numerous great aunts and uncles, cousins, and great-grandparents. Visitation will be held at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas on Monday, July 8, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. We invite family and friends to join us in celebrating Andre’s beautiful life.
