Obituary of Guadalupe Rosales

Guadalupe "Lupe" D. Rosales, 73, of Laguna Heights passed away on Monday, March 1, 2011 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.
He was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Isabel; a life long resident of Port Isabel; He was elected and served for 12 years as a Cameron County Constable of Pct.1 for Laguna Madre Area; and a past employee of Cameron County Sheriffs Dept.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo and Aurora Dominguez Rosales; a daughter, Lucila Rosales; a brother, Chief Lorenzo Rosales, Jr.; a sister, Maria Ester Rosales; 2 brother-in-laws, Phillip Johnson and Francisco Flores, Sr.; and a niece, Cynthia Santos.
Lupe is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Paula Rosales; his children, Lupe (Aracely) Rosales Jr. of Houston, TX., Gustavo (Maria) Rosales of Port Isabel, TX., Rosario (Ronald) Kaster of Laguna Vista, TX., and San Juanita Rosales of Laguna Heights, TX.; 6 sisters, Beatriz R. Flores, Maria (Wilton) Thibodeaux, Lydia (Miguel Maruffo) Johnson, Juanita (Tiburcio) Chavez, Delia (Rudy) Garza, and Margarita Rosales; a brother, Ramon (Adela) Rosales; a sister-in-law, Lupita Rosales; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitations will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito and continue from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria Street in Port Isabel.
Mass of Resurrection will be held on Friday, March 5, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Isabel. Committal service will follow to Buena Vista Burial Park in Brownsville, TX.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Kaster, Gustavo Rosales, Jr., Luis Rosales, Ronald Kaster, Bryan Rosales, and Lupe Rosales, III.
