It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Narciso Torres, who left us on April 22, 2024. He was 65 years old. Chicho as he was fondly called by friends and family was born on March 18, 1959, to Marcos & Maria Olga Torres in San Benito, Texas. Chicho was the strength of the family, the one to stand tall and hold his ground and never back down. Behind his toughness, he had a gentle soul. To the ones he loved they will tell you he was kind, sympathetic, caring and was just always one call away. He was a brother that you would fight with but will always continue to love. An uncle whose buttons you can push and laugh about it later. A friend that you could count on regardless of the distance. But most importantly, to his sister Yolanda’s children he was the father figure they didn’t know they needed. He was loved by many and will truly be missed. Chicho is survived by his brothers: Guadalupe, Alberto, Marcos Jr.; Sisters: Yolanda Padilla, Graciela; Nephews and Nieces: Amanda, Josie, Jose, Samantha, Alberto Jr, Mary Lou, Anthony, Ruben, Jennifer, Luis, Edgar, Dulce, Perla, Marcos III, Debbie, Great Nephews and Nieces: Dionicio (Nayeli), Ismael, Joel, Jazlyn, Isaiah, Branden, Breeanna, Antonio, JoAnthony, Malakhi, Kaylani, Rj, Jazelle, Bella, Jasmine, Mia, Marcos, Allison, Katyln and Makayla. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Rolando Torres, and niece Monica Torres. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX with cremation to follow in accordance with his wishes.
