Florentino "Tino" Machuca, born December 22, 1939, was called home on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Tino enjoyed working with his hands, listening to Mexican music, and was the best at making menudo. He enjoyed riding his chopper in his younger years. Florentino is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel, and Margarita Machuca; son, David “Butch” Machuca; siblings, Jose Maria (Amelia) Machuca, Israel (Marcela) Machuca, Maria Elena (Ciri) Piñon, Maria Delia (Javier) Mercado, and Rosalinda (Reynaldo) Rodriguez. He is survived by his children: Belinda Machuca, Daniel G. (Esther) Machuca, Roy (Lisa) Martinez; siblings, Manuel (Oralia) Machuca and Maria Isabel (Hilario) Avila. In addition, he is survived by numerous, grandchildren, other family members, and numerous friends. Visitation will be held Friday, April 12, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. A Chapel Service will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow to San Benito City Cemetery.
