Homer Hernandez, 71, of San Benito, Texas went to be with Our Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 6, 2024, surrounded by his family. Homer was a very kind, loving, and generous individual. As a result of his generous spirit and pleasant personality, he was loved by many. Homer is preceded in death by his parents, Gregorio and Lydia Hernandez; brothers, Ramiro and Hector Hernandez; sisters, Nena Treviño and Dora Cruz. Homer is survived by his loving wife, Norma (Cory) Hernandez; brother, Gregorio Hernandez Jr.; sisters, Jane Rodriguez, Rosa Esquivel, and Tila Tilton. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A Chapel Service will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with a burial to follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park Mausoleum in San Benito, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Max Galvan Jr., Max Galvan III, Hector De La Rosa, Shane Weingarten, Elijah Martinez, and Marco Arguelles.
