Maria Luisa Vasquez, 81, of San Benito, TX passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX. Maria dedicated the early years of her life to working the fields as a farm worker, she later became the owner of Vaquez Grocery & T & M Car Care, which she owned and ran for over 30years of her life. Maria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Manuel Vasquez Sr., Albino Mendoza(father), Juana Mendoza(mother), Armando Mendoza(brother), Hermila Mendoza(sister), Randy Garza(son-in-law) Surviving Children: Daughters Maria Teresa Vasquez, Leticia (Jesus DeLa Garza), Sylvia (Ramon Garza), Idalia (Juan Nino), Rosalinda (Rodrigo Ortega), Melida (Alfredo Garza), Lisa (+Randy Garza), Son Manuel Jr. (Leonor), Brother Albino Mendoza Jr., numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday, March 25, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. A Chapel Service will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with interment to follow to Mont-Meta Memorial Cemetery, Honored to serve as pallbearers are Cody Garza, Alfredo Garza Jr., Rodrigo Ortega Jr., Jacob Garza, Jonathan Nino, and Manuel Isaiah Vasquez.
