Obituary of Gumara T. Treviño

Gumara T. Treviño, 90, of San Benito, Texas, entered eternal rest on March 11, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Gumara was preceded in death by her parents, Alfredo, and Juanita Treviño; her first husband, Eduardo Fernandez; her second husband, Ignacio Treviño; two brothers, Gerardo, and Humberto Treviño; and a sister, Georgina Davila. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Brunilda Fernandez, Noemi (Leonel) Casanova, Eddie (Sandra) Fernandez; Herman (Laura) Fernandez, and Fred (Becca) Fernandez; Her siblings, Martha (Emilio +) Suarez and Claudio (Maria) Treviño; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 4 p.m., until 9 p.m., with a Prayer Service to begin at 7 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 20, at 10 a.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with interment to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park. Honored to be serving as Mrs. Treviño’s pallbearers are Joe Eddie Sendejar, Marc Fernandez, Leo Casanova, Jr., Daniel Casanova, Daniel Casanova, Jr., and Christopher Fernandez. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Fernandez, Herman Fernandez, Fred Fernandez, and Leonel Casanova.
