On Sunday, February 4, 2024, Jose L. Ceballos was called home at the age of 80. He passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. He has reunited with his son, Jose Jr. and granddaughter, Adriana. Jose is also preceded in death by his father, Hilario Ceballos and mother, Susana Lopez de Ceballos; sisters, Guadalupe Loa, and Felicitas Guevara, and Luz Ceballos Rodríguez. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife and best friend of 53 years, Juana Ceballos; children, Oscar (Toni) Ceballos, Claudia (Lupe) Barajas and Laura Garcia; grandchildren, Jose III, Sabrina, Julissa, Sebastian and Joseph Ceballos, Christopher, Karla and Lauren Garcia, Alexander and Dante Barajas and seven great grandchildren who will miss him dearly. In addition, he is survived by his siblings, Liborio, Apolinar and Elida Ceballos. He was born on December 4th 1943 in Matamoros, Mexico. He raised his family in the Arroyo City area where he worked as a foreman at the 777 Ranch Before retiring and relocating to San Benito in 1990. He enjoyed dancing, good music and the company of friends and family. We will gather and honor him with a Memorial Mass on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 606 W. Ocian Blvd., Los Fresnos, TX.
