Michelene (Missy) West, 65, of Port Isabel, Texas entered eternal rest on January 31, 2024. Born on November 21,1958 in Del Rio Texas, Missy relocated to the Rio Grande Valley. She called Port Isabel her home for the last 24 years of her vibrant life. Missy was known for her passion for drawing and could be found sitting underneath the mesquite tree at the port Isabel lighthouse creating her next story tell to tell through her drawings. Her love for the beach, the tranquil sound of the ocean, and the waves washing ashore is where Missy would go to be totally at peace. Port Isabel was her sense of comfort, happiness, and where she wanted to be at all times. Missy’s vibrant and bold personality encapsulated her energetic spirit and enthusiasm in life that will remain in our hearts forever. She is proceeded in death by her two sons Philip Trafford Lopez and Joseph Thomas Lopez her father Jett Charles West, and step father Gordon Marion Hampton. She is survived by her children Charles Andrew Lopez of Austin, Tx; Leslie Michelle Lopez of McAllen, Tx; Christopher West Lopez of Austin, Tx; and Maura Lopez of San Benito, Tx. She is also survived by her mother Patricia Louise Boulache of Corpus Christi, Tx, her sisters, Kaithe (Chris) Kroeker of Rockport, Tx; Sean (Tim) Allen of Bishop, Tx; and Lori (Carl) Horton of Utopia, Tx. Along with numerous nieces/ nephews, & her grandchildren; Ryan Battles, Kayleigh Rowland, David Gonzalez, Aiden Solis, Kevin Lopez , John Lopez, Adrianna Lopez, Arian Lopez, & Austin Lopez. The family has decided for a direct cremation and private services will be done at a later date.
