Janet Mata, 31, of San Benito, TX passed away Saturday, January 27. 2024, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX.
Janet loved listening to music and reading books. She loved Wonder Woman, Carrie Underwood and especially loved spending time with her dog (Mei-ling) (14).
She is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Hortencia & Arturo Castillo grandparents; and paternal grandparents, Frutoso “Toto” & Carmen Mata.
Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Hortencia Mata; father, Reynaldo Mata; and Mei-Ling Mata (Fur baby); 2 brothers, Juan Carlos Mata, Reynaldo Mata, and sister-in-law, Lilly Lerma. In addition, she is survived by her niece, Adrianna Janet Mata, nephews, Alexander Mata, and Adrian Orozco.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX.
A Funeral Mass will be held will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 351 S. Bowie St., San Benito, TX with interment to follow to San Benito Memorial Park.
