Ciria Gonzalez Ramirez, 89, of Port Isabel, Texas went home to be with our Father on Sunday, January 14, 2024. Ciria was born on July 2, 1934 to parents Pedro Gonzalez and Maria del Refugio Cisneros. Ciria married Jose Angel Ramirez and resided in Port Isabel, Texas. She always provided support and love for her family and had compassion for taking care of her pet animals. She was a longtime member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her and will be in our hearts forever. Ciria was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro Gonzalez and Maria del Refugio Cisneros, brother Manuel Gonzalez and sisters Benita Cisneros, Andrea Escamilla Cisneros and Petra Cuellar Cisneros. She is survived by her loving husband, Jose Angel. Children: Rumaldo (Angelica) of Port Isabel, Maria Luisa (Robert Moore) of Port Isabel, Jose Angel Jr. of Port Isabel, Robert (Elizabeth) of Brownsville, Lorena (Manuel Garza) of Abilene, Texas, and Joe G. Rivas (Lalys) of Harlingen, Texas. 13 grandchildren: Savannah Stacey Sharpe, Elijah Cole Terry Ramirez, Isabella Christiana Ramirez, Alexander Milton Moore, Jose Angel Ramirez III, Chris Ramirez, Robert Ramirez Jr., Claudia Andrea Lasater, Laura LeeAnn Sosa, Cynthia N. Rivas, Gilbert Rivas, Lizette (Saul) Cruz, David Rivas, and 5 great-grandchildren: Ella Rose Ramirez, Maverick Angel Ramirez, Valor Reign Ramirez, Charlotte Ramirez and Carter Ramirez. Pallbearers will be sons: Rumaldo Ramirez, Jose Angel Ramirez, Jr., Robert Ramirez, Grandsons: Elijah Cole Terry Ramirez, Alexander Milton Moore, Jose Angel Ramirez III, Chris Ramirez, Robert Ramirez, Jr. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosay at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S Longoria St, Port Isabel, TX with interment to follow to Port Isabel City Cemetery.
