Isabel Gonzalez de Guajardo, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, wife, and aunt, passed away on December 20, 2023, at the age of 85. She was born on November 19, 1938, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Isabel was a dedicated and loving mother to her daughter, María Isabel Guajardo de Henderson, and a cherished mother-in-law to Donald Henderson. She adored her two grandchildren, Valeria Isabel and John Andrew Henderson. She shared a very special relationship with both her grandchildren and was an influence in their lives. Isabel Gonzalez de Guajardo married Raul Guajardo Aguirre and they had one daughter, Maria Isabel Guajardo Gonzalez. They lived in Matamoros, Mexico for many years and dedicated time to their only daughter. After many years as a successful restaurant owner, Isabel retired and moved to Los Fresnos, Texas where she resided with her daughter. In her retirement, she became an active member of Santa Cecilia Catholic Church, devoting her time and energy to various church activities. She generously volunteered to help with CCD classes on Saturdays, and her dedication and caring nature left a lasting impact on the community. Isabel Gonzalez de Guajardo was predeceased by her loving parents: Antonia and Hermeregildo Gonzalez Mares, her husband Raul Guajardo Aguirre, brothers: Guadalupe Gonzalez Medrano and Miguel Gonzalez Medrano. She is survived by her brother Juan Gonzalez Medrano and his wife Maria R. Gonzalez and children. Sister-in-law Maura Sanchez de Gonzalez and children, and Irma Josefina Gutierrez de Gonzalez and children. Her dear niece Patricia McLane Guajardo and her children. She had a wonderful relationship with all her nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed. A mass in honor of Isabel Gonzalez de Guajardo will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Santa Cecilia, 606 W. Ocean Blvd, in Los Fresnos, Texas at 5:00 pm. Isabel will be remembered for her kind and giving spirit, her love for her family, and her unwavering faith. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in peace.
