She was preceded in death by her father, Federico Barrera: mother, Elodia Torres Barrera; 8 siblings, Miguel Barrera, Antonio Barrera, Mauro Barrera, Guadalupe Barrera, Micaela Barrera, Arminda Barrera, Anita Barrera, and Benita Barrera. Left to cherish her memories is her daughter, Veronica (Mario) Pineda; 4 grandchildren, Yesenia Pineda, Mario Pineda Jr., and Angel Pineda and America Pineda; former husband, Ramiro Mata; 3 siblings, Otila Martinez, Andres Barrera, and San Juana Farias. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX.
