Connie U. Edwards, 78, of Port Isabel, TX passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023, at her residence. Our mom always found creative ways to make things work and provide for her family. She loved her grandkids, great grandkids, and great-great grandkids. We were all lucky to know her and be loved by her. She spent some time doing artistic hobbies, like painting and writing, and even passed these gifts on to her children. As a Registered Nurse, Connie was always an advocate for her patients, going out of her way to fight for them. Without fail, even in hard times, she was a true and passionate believer in Jesus. She now rests peacefully in His loving arms. She is preceded in death by her father, Clifford Donnelly; mother, Thelma Donnelly; sisters, Micki Donnelly, Dolores Bell; brother, Clair Donnelly; and great-granddaughter, Alexa Nicole Bailon. Left to cherish her memories are her children, Mae Elliott, Dee and Joaquin Gonzalez; sons, Bill and Tonya Edwards, John and Season Edwards; siblings, Rose Collins, Loretta Eaton, and Neva Gates. Grandchildren, Larissa Elliott, Cecilia Bailon, Letticia Bailon, Alonzo Bailon, Briana Edwards, John D. Edwards, Taryn Edwards, and Kathryn Edwards; great grandchildren, Caleb Bailon, Logan Bailon, Kylie Bailon, Kaidon Claibourn, Kimberly Claibourn, Ana Julia Gonzalez, and great-great grandson Ky Conseco.
