Terry Bodden, 54, of Brownsville, Texas, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023, with loved ones by his side. Terry was born on December 23, 1968, in Oak Ridge, Roatan, Honduras to Julia Gordon and Oscar Bodden. In 1988, he moved to Port Isabel, Texas and worked alongside his father in the shrimping industry. He later went to work for Triton Offshore in Louisiana for over 20 years. Terry was extremely charismatic, carried the most youthful spirit, had an infectious laugh and a smile that melted hearts. He loved music, dancing, and was an avid sports fan. Terry loved going back to visit family and friends in Honduras as often as possible. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Bodden and Julia A. Gordon; paternal grandparents, Rafael Zuniga, and Mabel Bodden; maternal grandparents, Davis Gordon and Lindell Tennyson; brother, Emsley Gough; sister, Heather Stockhousen; and Aunt Carmen Zuniga; uncles Winton Rich, Adolfo Bodden, and Rubio Bodden; and nephew, Ohennie Hurlston Bodden. He is survived by his sons Jovie, Oscar Terry Jr., and Terren Bodden, stepson Ryan Tatum, stepmother Martha Bodden, brothers Oscar Lee (Katina) Bodden, Analdo (Myrna) Bodden, sisters Delia Gough, Laura Dilbert, Mabel Bodden, Dena (Cesar) Bodden, Sharla Randle Bodden, Justa Bodden, and Marcie (Akeem) Bodden Blake; Aunts June, Beatriz, Erlinda, Uncles Charles, Miguel, Mundo, Rafael, Jose, Luis, Jorge, Will and numerous nieces and nephews. Terry also leaves behind his love of 23 years, Catherine Tatum. Terry was loved tremendously by his family and friends and will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Steven Hyde.
