Maria Delia Delgado, 71 years of age, of San Benito, Texas passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023, peacefully at her home. Maria was born in San Fernando, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She loved being around the company of her family and enjoyed playing chalupa, cooking, baking, and most of all her grandkids. Her happiness was making sure everyone was always fed. Preceded in death by her husband of 43 years of marriage, Juan Delgado Salazar. She is survived by her children and stepchildren. Jose (Selina) Lopez, Margarita Delgado (Sergio De La Cruz), Juan Jr. (Erika) Delgado, Maria Del Carmen (Santiago) Ortiz-Leonides, and Maricela Martinez (Frouctoso Garcia). Many nephews, nieces, 13 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a recitation of the holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. with a procession departing at 9:30 a.m. from Thomae- Garza Funeral Home to Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
