Rosa Maria Leija Rodriguez, 77, of San Benito, TX entered eternal rest on September 26, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted wife and mother to her 5 children. Throughout the years Rosa worked hard to provide for her family working at Levi Strauss and Valley Baptist Medical Center. Rosa was also a devoted Catholic and a member at St. Joseph Catholic Church. On her leisure time she enjoyed being in the company of her family, was devoted to taking care of her grandchildren, and was a huge Pro Wrestling fan. She is preceded in death by her husband Ramon A. Rodriguez, her mother Maria Lorenza Leija, father Raymundo Leija, brothers Antonio and David Leija, nieces Kathryn Sue Koite and Hilda Maria Leija. She is survived by her beloved children, Rose Marie Galvan (Ruben), Ramon A. Rodriguez Jr., Natividad Cassandra Rodriguez (Fred V.), Andres Raymundo Rodriguez (Elizabeth), and Alison Rae Torres (Erasmo Jr.); Her two canine companions Ramy and Mogli. In addition, she is survived by her sisters, Elena Gonzalez, Berta Esparza (Ernesto), Susan Sanchez (Ruben), and Sylvia Koite. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kimberly Flores, Alyssa Rodriguez, Frank Concha (Rochelle), Crystal Concha, Cassandra Remmenga (Devin), Andrew Rodriguez, Jonathan Luna, Leslie Ramirez, Joe Ramirez, Keith Torres, Erasmo Torres III, Donovan Reign Torres, Ruben James Galvan, and Adrian Lee Galvan; great grandchildren, Mykayla Torres, Melanie Torres, Kash Flores, Dominic Concha, Harley Concha, Olivia Concha, Ryan Gomez, Ava Concha, Dayna Remmenga, Evan Remmenga, Audri Ayala, Jeremiah Ramirez, Aaden Ramirez, and Ethan Ramirez. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1001 US-77 BUS, San Benito, TX with interment to follow to Mont Meta Memorial Cemetery.
