Obituary of Juan Indalecio Tamayo

Juan Indalecio “Dale” Tamayo was born September 1, 1971. He was called by the Lord to his heavenly realm on July 27, 2023. He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Indalecio Tamayo, his paternal grandparents, Juan and Rita Tamayo from Port Isabel, TX; his maternal grandparents, Adrian and Antonia Sanchez, from San Antonio, TX. Other numerous cousins, aunt, uncles and friends.
He is survived by his son Juan Arturo and daughter Maranda Rose Tamayo; his mother, Maria Thelma Tamayo, and his siblings Abran Antonio Tamayo (wife Sandra, niece Alyson), brother Adrian Vicente Tamayo (wife Celeste, nieces Aubree, Ashley and Olivia), sister Rita Virginia Guerra (husband Vicente, their children Imani, Giovanni, Damacio, Fabian and Julian) and countless aunts, uncles and cousins.
Juan Tamayo’s body will be laid to rest at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Pallbearers are his fellow Marine buddies Amador Gonzalez, Frank De La Cruz, and Rick Cepeda. His cousins Fernando Sanchez, Morris Martinez, and Criag Higgason. Honorary pallbearers are his son Art Tamayo and nephew Giovanni Martinez.
He will be greatly missed and forever be in our thoughts and hearts. May the Lord Jesus Christ and Our Blessed Mother Mary welcome him with open arms.
