Olivia Garza Martinez, 68, of Laguna Vista, TX passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, TX. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandma, great grandma, sister, aunt, cousin, and great friend. She is preceded in death by her parents, Juan Jose Garza and Espetacion Bermudez; husband, Rosendo Ramirez “Chen” Martinez; sons, J.C. Martinez and Miguel Angel Martinez; and her brother, Jose Reyes Garza. Left to cherish her memory is her one and only daughter, Rozanna M. Barrera; four sons, Rosendo (Monica) Martinez, Steven (Marisa) Martinez, Leroy Martinez, and Ray (Nelly) Martinez; and 1 sister, Rosa Garza Martinez. In addition, she is also survived by 16 grandchildren: Iesha, Christian, Isiah, Natalie, Jeremy, Olivia, Devin, Kaitlyn, Timmy Boy, Nathan, Kimberly, Stevie, Rachel, Bryan (the lion), Joseph (JoJo) and Desaray; 3 great grandchildren, Mireya Rosalie, Victor Jr., and Bella Rose as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 05, 2023, from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. and Chapel Service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas with cremation to follow in accordance with her wishes.
