Benito Cantu, 45, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on October 9, 2012 at his residence. He is preceded in death by his father, Guadalupe Cantu Gracia; two brothers: Gonzalo Cantu and Guadalupe Cantu; and sister Ernestina Cantu. Benito is survived by his wife Rebeca Cabrera Perez-Cantu; two daughters: Karina Cantu and Jacqueline Cantu; two sons: Carlos A. Cantu and Benito Cantu Jr.; his mother, Tomasa Sierra Urdiales Cantu; two brothers: Roque Cantu and Remigio Cantu; and four sisters: Rebeca Cantu, Lola Cantu, Maria Elena Cantu, and Elvira Cantu. Visitation will be held Friday, October 12, 2012 from 12:00 noon to 9:00 pm, with a prayer service at 7:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 10:00 am at Templo Bethania, 24735 Hwy 281, La Encantada Circle in El Ranchito. Interment will follow at Esparza Cemetery.
