On June 1, 2023, Juanita Moreno of San Benito, TX passed away at the age of 77. Born to Domingo Abrego and Enriqueta Balli, of El Ranchito, on June 5, 1945, she was one of six children and the last living child at the time of her departing. Upon meeting her husband of 56 years, Jose Ramon Moreno, the couple moved to Houston, TX, where eventually they both worked for the Igloo Corporation. They later returned to El Ranchito and were life long residents till their move to San Benito. Juanita is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jose Ramon Moreno, her parents, Domingo and Enriqueta Abrego; her siblings, Domingo Abrego, Enriqueta Abrego Vazquez, Paulita Aguirre, Julio Abrego, and Juan Abrego. She leaves many behind who love her dearly. Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 6th, 2023, from 5 pm to 9 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary to be held at 7 pm. A Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, June 7th, at 10 am at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 401 S. Bowie Street, San Benito, TX, with burial to follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park.
