Juan A. Rodrigues, 70, of San Benito passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones as he lost his battle against cancer. Juan will be missed very much, and he will always remain in our hearts. He loved being surrounded by his children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an avid collector of many antiques and enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. Juan traveled all over the United States collecting stories and shared his adventures with friends and associates. He is preceded in death by his son, Juan Alberto, Jr.; parents, Juan Gualberto and Maria Lourdes; and brothers, Eulogio “Sammy” Rodriguez and Juan Gualberto, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Raquel M. Rodrigues; daughter, Maria Louisa; sons, Juan Gualberto, Jose Arnulfo, and Jesus Alejandro (Debbie); daughters, Maria Aurora, and Janette. He is also survived by his siblings, Pedro Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez, Arnulfo Rodriguez, Martin Rodriguez, Maria Guadalupe Rodriguez Corona, Marsedalia Muñoz, Rodriguez, Flora Anita Archibeque Rodriguez, and Dora Alicia Rodriguez; In addition, he is also survived by his precious grandchildren, Christina, Ricardo Angel, Dalila Raquel, Jaquelyn, Juan Gualberto Jr., Miguel Angel, Annalyssa, Desiree, Daniela, Sara, Natalia, Kayden and great-grandchildren, Hailee, and Juan G. III, and Marcus. Visitation will be held Friday, May 26, 2023, from 3:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas with cremation to follow in accordance with his wishes.
