La Paloma, TX - Elva M. Rocha, 60, passed away at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. Elva was a lifelong resident of La Paloma, Texas and a parishioner at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her father; Federico Martinez. She is survived by her husband; Juan Rocha, daughter; Nora (Hilario) Rocha Limon, 2 sons: Juan (Monica) Rocha, Jaime (Melissa) Rocha all of La Paloma, Texas. Elva is also survived by her 6 adorable grandchildren: Lilly, Maribel, Juan III, Larry, Andrew and Lenny. In addition, Elva is survived be her siblings: sisters; Hilda (Raul) Ramos, Adalia (Rolando) Becerra, Berta (Daniel) Torres, Elida (Jorge) Tamayo, brothers; Ernesto (Matilde) Martinez, Federico (Angela) Martinez and Jose (Mary) Martinez. Elva was truly blessed to also be survived by her mother Olivia C. Martinez. Pallbearers will be: Juan Rocha, Jaime Rocha, Victor Gomez, Joe Martinez, Joe Martinez, Jr., and Juan Rocha - husband. Visitation will be held today, Thursday, December 13, 2007 from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 14, 2007 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with interment to follow at La Paloma Cemetery.
