Antonia G. Cavazos, 88, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2012 at her residence. Antonia was born on October 16, 1923 in Rio Hondo, Texas. She had resided in San Benito, Texas for the past 70 years and was dedicated to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She will be missed dearly. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jose Fidel Cavazos Sr.; parents Manuel Garcia and Teresita Cisneros Garcia; one child Baby Joe; brothers: Jose Maria Garcia, Jesus Garcia, and Alberto Garcia; sisters: Manuela Escamilla, Maria Escamilla, Anita Corona, Juanita Martinez, and Luisa Montez. She is survived by daughters Maria Elena (Lupe+) C. Perez and Esperanza Cavazos; sons: Jose Fidel (Gracie) Cavazos Jr., Hector (San Juanita) Cavazos of Fort Worth, and Manuel (Josie) Cavazos; and sister Josefina (Roberto) Lopez. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 7, 2012 and Monday, October 8, 2012 from 12 pm to 9 pm, with a holy rosary at 7 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Mass of resurrection will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 10 am at St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Benito. Committal service will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers are Dale Cavazos, Rolando Cavazos, Roel Cavazos, Hector Cavazos Jr., Henry Cavazos, and Jose G.
