Edna Belinda “Bell” Perales, 39, of Los Fresnos, TX, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, TX after a long battle with Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy. Edna was born on October 4, 1983, to Ruben Perales Jr and Maria Perales in San Benito, TX. She was raised in Los Fresnos, TX where she attended school and made many lifelong friends. Edna was fun-loving, charismatic, and enjoyed making people laugh. Edna always stayed true to herself and never let the opinions of others influence her. She is preceded in death by Ruben Perales Sr (Paternal Grandfather), Melida Perales (Maternal Grandmother), Santiago Rodríguez Colunga (Maternal Grandfather), Sara Rodríguez Ontiveros (Maternal Grandmother), Gregorio Ponce (Uncle), Santiago Rodríguez Ontiveros (Uncle) & Juan Rodríguez Ontiveros (Uncle). Edna was blessed with four children who will always remember her strength, optimism, and light-hearted spirit. Edna is survived by her parents, Ruben Perales Jr. & Maria Perales; children, Devin Haziel Perales, Jessie Leigh Meza, Anaiz Alejandra Trujillo, and Antonio Ezykiel Vásquez; siblings, Rubén (Isabel) Perales III and Mayra (Oscar) Imperial, five nieces and two nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023, at 10:00 AM, at St. Cecilia Church in Los Fresnos, TX with a interment to follow, at Los Cuates Cemetery in Los Fresnos, TX.
