Abel Lopez, 80, of San Benito, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on April 7, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Ofelia Lopez, his sisters; Margarita Garcia, Martha Saldana, Ester Bucher, Guadalupe Martinez, and Ludivina Cantu. His brothers Marcelino Lopez and Jose Manuel Lopez. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Lily F. Lopez, his children Abel Lopez Jr., Daniel Lopez, Ofelia Lopez, Oralia (Rodrigo) Sandoval, Manuel (Melissa) Lopez, and Jose Antonio Lopez. His four siblings; Delia Pérez, Amalia Quiroz, Elías Lopez, and Felipe López. 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.
