Maria Reyna Tamez or "Reyna" as she was commonly known, age 67, of San Benito, TX passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving and supportive mother who was loved and respected by all who knew her. She was a kind, generous, and caring woman who spent her days taking care of family and others. She was an amazing mother-in-law who always had an encouraging word for her son-in-law, a listening ear for her grandchildren, and a shoulder to lean on for all her family. Reyna effortlessly filled her family with joy, love, and laughter. She was passionate about cooking and doting on her family. Her spirit and light will be greatly missed by her loved ones. Reyna spent her last days surrounded by loved ones. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to have known her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe and Jovita Guevara.
