Reyes Torres Gutierrez, 87, of San Benito, Texas passed away on Wednesday, January 18,2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Guadalupe Gutierrez; a daughter, Diana Gutierrez; parents Tomas Torres and Gregoria Reyes; a sister Carmen(Antonio) Gonzales ; 4 brothers, Simon (Mauricia)Torres ; Marcos(Olga) Torres; Moises (Anita)Torres ; Marcelino (Ernestina) Torres Left to cherish her memories are her five sons, Jerry Gutierrez; Oscar Gutierrez; Joel (Marta) Gutierrez; Gerardo Gutierrez; Eduardo Gutierrez and Daughter, Sylvia (Oscar) Suarez; 11 Grandchildren, Oscar Suarez Jr, Mellisa Mendoza, Bianca Gutierrez, Roxanne Gutierrez, Joel Gutierrez Jr., Anjel Danielle Gutierrez, Selena Nicole Gutierrez, Jonathan Gutierrez, Christopher Gutierrez, Sabrina Walker, Veronica Rosas; and 20 Great-grandchildren. She was also blessed with many nephews and nieces that would always find time come to visit her when they were in town. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. A 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, 1300 Combes St, San Benito, TX with interment to follow to San Benito City Cemetery. Our mother was one of the last surviving siblings that were born to Tomas and Gregoria Reyes -Torres of San Benito, Texas. We will miss our Mom very much but we know that one day we will get to see her again in heaven. Mom, you can now Rest in Peace your job is done here on earth.
